This job was unique because the footing was above the floor so we needed to install CleanSpace on the walls so the water from the weepholes would be forced into our waterproofing system. This job as well required a FlowGuard system to turn this once wet basement dry. Notice how their is no longer any water on the basement floor, and the walls also look nicer. 

These homeowners contacted Basement Systems Of New York to see how we could help rid their homes of water. Over the last twenty-two years, the homeowners never had a water issue, that is until hurricane Ida. Since Ida, they have constantly had water coming in through their concrete foundation. After trying to fix the problem themselves water continued to penetrate their home and they knew that they needed professional help.

Originally, they thought that water was coming in from their bedroom. Because of the issues, they described to our Specialist during their consultation, he could pinpoint where water was penetrating the home from. Specifically, the area where they were having an issue with water penetrating their home was in their garage. In turn, this was keeping their home wet.

To make sure that water cannot penetrate their home again, our team installed our patented WaterGuard waterproofing system along the right side of their garage, which we tied directly into our TripleSafe sump pump system. By installing these systems, we are able to capture any water that comes into their home and divert it to our out of and away from their home. We started by jackhammering their entire concrete slab and removing it. After removing the old concrete slab, we dug down several inches to establish our area for our pre-cast footings. Once all our footing were at the proper depth we laid our pre-cast footings and installed our SmartJack foundation support systems. 

Once we installed our SmartJack systems, we moved on to cutting both our drain mat and CleanSpace to the proper dimensions before applying them to the basement walls. After completing the installation of our drain mat and CleanSpace. We then applied our PowerBraces with top lever brackets to the walls.

After applying our PowerBraces with top lever brackets we installed our WaterGuard waterproofing system around the perimeter of the basement, which we tied into our TripleSafe sump pump system with an external discharge line. Finally, we completed this project by pouring a new concrete slab.  

Since completing this project, the homeowners have noticed a tremendous difference in the structural integrity of their homes.
